THE WORLD IS PREPARING FOR THE INTERNATIONAL BIM-FORUM IN UKRAINE

The Wall is taking unprecedented steps to shape the global agenda of the first International BIM Forum. In particular, The Wall-Ukraine and The WALL-China will join forces to expand the global view of construction and infrastructure, as well as the role of BIM and digital technologies.

In preparation for the event, an online meeting was held with representatives of the Beijing Investment and Development Corporation Jianyi Group. During the talks, the Chairman of the Board Vitaliy Hrusevych noted: “The BIM Forum is a natural development of our international cooperation. It will bring together representatives of the private and public sectors, vendors, investors to discuss national and regional BIM issues, to share experiences, resources and lessons learned. And we are pleased to see Jianyi Group among the participants, which has led the digital transformation of China’s construction industry by developing an industrial Internet platform for the construction industry – CIIP.

Jianyi Group commented that they see BIM as a necessary framework on which other digital technologies and processes can be implemented. After all, the technology of information modeling of buildings has already become an integral part of the development and provision of more efficient and sustainable infrastructure around the world.
Although China and Ukraine have different stages in the operation of BIM, there are several common themes that demonstrate the important experience of the Jianyi Group and its participation in the forum.

A series of meetings on the global VIM event is under way. During April, we spoke with government officials and representatives of multilateral organizations implementing BIM initiatives in Ukraine and around the world. Their interest in the event is a signal that The Wall is moving in the right direction, which will help foster collaboration, growth and mutual benefits from the digital construction sector.
